Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog! It's great to have you here. Today is week 4 of lockdown for our family during the Covid-19 outbreak and I'm missing all my clients. A client/therapist relationship is very special and I want you to know I think of you all often and I hope you are all keeping well and are safe.
I'm home with my husband and 3 children. This week is the first of 2 weeks of the Easter holidays so things are a bit more relaxed because there is no school work. I have noticed my mental health has been like a rollercoaster of emotions over the last few weeks. Life has changed dramatically so if you're struggling too please know you aren't alone!
I want to tell you a bit about me. I have come to know my clients very well over the years but there isn't much you probably know about me as a person so I'm going to correct that right now! I have many sides to my personality. I bet you didn't know I am a singer and I used to be in an Americana band here in Aberdeen?! I am also a volunteer Breastfeeding Counsellor, helping families overcome difficulties and offering general support through their feeding journeys. I was born in 1984 (making me 35 years old at time of writing this) and I have 3 children (14 years old, 11 years old and 3 years old). I'm from Surrey, which is just outside of London and moved to Aberdeen in 2012 (which is where my husband is from) after living 3 years in Milan, Italy because of my husband's work.
The plan is to write a weekly blog covering different topics starting with a series on stress relief. I'll be covering topics like meditation and mindfulness, crystal therapy, self care and many more.
If there is a topic you would like to be covered please leave a comment below.
Stay safe and well everyone! Love from Clare xx
